Red Hawk Casino is a 35 acre portion of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians’ Rancheria located east of Sacramento. One of the most important considerations for this project is the incorporation of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians’ culture.

Red Hawk Casino is a cultural and entertainment destination located east of Sacramento on the 35-acre Rancheria of the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians. The casino showcases the Miwok’s culture and history through its design elements, while also offering a variety of gaming options, dining venues and a childcare center.
The casino has about 2,000 slot machines, 50 game tables, a buffet, restaurants and a 2,800-stall parking garage. Michaud Cooley Erickson provided full mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for the project, which included backup and redundant power systems to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the casino.
