As member of the Fortune 500 list, Land O’Lakes is a member-owned agricultural cooperative focusing on the dairy industry. Our services included full MEPF engineering services for their new headquarters building that would be connected to their existing headquarters. With a LEED Platinum certification, the MEP systems are designed to be 45 percent more energy efficient than ASHRAE performance standards.

Our energy modeling expert modeled the entire building in IES-VE software to assist in choosing energy-efficient HVAC systems and to help the architects make design decisions about glazing and orientation of the building. Some of the components used where a dedicated outside air system with energy recovery, dedicated outdoor air VAV boxes, condensing boilers, LED lighting systems, daylighting controls, solar panels installed on the roof, water-saving plumping fixtures and a system for stormwater collection to be used for irrigation.
Additionally, we participated in the Xcel Energy Assist Program to provide rebates to the owner. Our team worked with the architects and general contractor from Pre-Schematic design all the way through construction to ensure a successful project was completed.
