PROVIDING MENTORSHIP TO A GENERATION.

Congratulations to John Smith on an incredible career with Michaud Cooley Erickson (MCE). John will be retiring from MCE on December 9, 2022, to begin his new career enjoying time with his family, friends, and his favorite hobbies. We are sad to be losing a talented engineer and coworker, but we are grateful he can spend precious time with his family and continue to pursue his passions.

John started at MCE in 1976 and has been a tremendous asset to MCE throughout his 44 years with the firm. His passion for engineering guided his career path through various roles, most recently as the Technical Director of Mechanical Engineering. This role gave him the opportunity to elevate our subject matter experts and the firm as a whole. John was a mentor to many engineers throughout his career and he could always be counted on to review a design or help solve a difficult engineering challenge. John was at the forefront of many new and innovative engineering solutions throughout his career. In addition, he gave back to the engineering profession through his participation on several code committees and by volunteering with NCEES

We will be forever grateful for his technical acumen, as well as, his contributions to MCE and our profession. On behalf of everyone at MCE we want to thank John and wish him all the best in his next chapter of life.
